Livia Gho
Born in Singapore and trained in Singapore, Canada and United States, Livia is steeped in the music of both the Eastern and Western worlds.

Livia has worked with professional and community ensembles of all ages and is equally at home with choruses, bands and orchestras. Her passion lies in the study of choral-orchestral masterpieces. Livia is a finalist of the 2021 American Prize Conducting Award (Community division).
Livia established the music programs at Jefferson Preparatory School and Ridgeline Academy High School and taught Band, Choir, General Music/Handbell ensembles, and Class Piano, Many of her students were accepted to participate in the AMEA Regionals and All-State Festivals.
Livia is currently studying with Wayne Toews at the Saito School of Conducting.

Livia sang in Indiana University’s (IU) top vocal jazz and choral ensembles and had the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall and the acclaimed Rose Theatre at Jazz at Lincoln Center in April 2014. She has also furnished studio recordings for Hal Leonard Publishing; her recordings with IU Vocal Jazz Ensemble I has been named the Graduate College Winner in 2014 DownBeat magazine’s 37th Annual Student Music Awards.
Livia is in demand as an accompanist, a performer, and as an instrumental and vocal coach. She came in 2nd place at the inaugural 2021 Singapore Got Talent (USA edition) with her arrangement of a medley of Singapore patriotic songs for the Voice and Zither.
Composer
Livia has written for the Portland Gay Men's Chorus, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), and the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra (VICO). Her compositions have been featured in various music festivals and she regularly receives commissions.
